October 24, 2013 – Michael A. O’Donnell, Esq. joined the National Business Institute faculty at the Scranton Hilton Conference Center for a full-day continuing legal education seminar.  The program, “Litigating the Uninsured & Underinsured Motorist Claim – Best Practices in UM/UIM from Both Sides of the Table”, assembled a bipartisan panel of Plaintiff and Defense attorneys offering best practices and tips for evaluating, investigating, litigating and trying the Uninsured/Underinsured motorist action.  Michael wrote the course materials on the topic of “Ethical Traps to Avoid.”  The ethical program specifically addressed representing multiple clients in a single UM/UIM action, identifying and resolving conflicts of interest, maintaining compliance with the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct, and tips to avoid legal malpractice. Michael also presented on subrogation and liens with the assistance of Christopher M. Reid, Esq. of Seidel, Cohen, Hof & Reid, LLC.
